Ummmm… having grown up in a fundamentalist Evangelical white-identity culture, I can attest that yes, those tactics ARE part of the doctrine. I am considered apostate and a heretic (I've actually been told I'm a heretic) for eschewing that old culture. I've even been ostracized by most of my kin and the people in their churchy circles. I'm wrong, I'm going to hell in their minds because I dare to refute their corrupted Pauline religion of exclusion, condemnation, and cruelty in favor of trying to live the way of Jesus.

I say "corrupted Pauline religion" because they take just enough of Paul's writings out of context to validate their Old Testament onerous legalistic oppression.
