Usually, I don't think about the curation algorithyms. But, I do wonder what drives the not infrequent odd follower batches to my profile.

I sometimes get a flood of followers whose bodies of work – if there is one – is, at best, repetitive reframing of what purports to be authoritative self-help stuff. The worst batches are follows from people I know beyond any shadow of a doubt will not be reading my writing with any real interest in my themes – most likely, they'll rehighlight already highlighted text and clap to draw reads to their posts… of which I am wholly uninterested; or, they'll slide into the responses to troll or link-bomb.

For example, today, I got a batch of followers whose bodies of writing seemed to be mostly about self-sex and pornography themes – difinitively not in the realm of my kind of reading. I did wonder if it was because of my occaisional reading of Nick Skordilis' mildish erotica poetry. But, I really can't imagine someone hawking masturbation and pornography is interested in my posts for anything more than link-bombing or trolling.
