We learned it's a waste to try to give our Gizmo new toys. He's only interested in his ball. He's had the same blue racketball for more than a decade. We have three others that we got in case he destroyed that one. But, he still has that one. He found it in a field behind our house and has clung to his treasure ever since. He's not even that interested in chasing it these days – he's past eleven years old now.

But, when we tried to introduce him to other toys, he simply wasn't interested. In fact, he's never been interested much in other stuff. He's never chewed any of our shoes. He doesn't munch on chair legs. He never even chewed his ball, even when he was still a puppy (he was six months old when we got him).
