Well, it cannot be "cue" because that means a signal directing someone (as with actors or speakers), hints or suggestions, etc.

And, it cannot be "que" because that word is a homophone, meaning that it's a word that sounds like many other words, even though the spelling is different — when it's not be "what" for a plethora of Latin based languages, or what you do to que balls in pool/billiards.
