Well… that's not entirely true. Every show is created by a team – or committee – of writers. But, when the lead of the team is someone like Chris Chibnall, even the best writers will end up producing schlock. Chibnall pushed out so many former show runners. From the music to the writing, to production crew, to the finishing crew, people fled his Doctor Who.

And, the thing is, it could have been brilliant. All he had to do was just write the Doctor… just let Whitaker be Doctor Who.

Did you know, she had never watched Doctor Who before she got the role. And, Chibnall told her NOT to watch any of it in preparation for the role. He really did not want to write Doctor Who at all. He killed Torchwood and did his level best to kill Doctor Who.
