We've all been indoctrinated into the idea that we owe anyone's speech validation as protected free speech. We've also been indoctrinated to forgive and let off those who abuse their power just because they're in a position of power. This is especially true for women and children. We've been programmed to feel guilty for identifying the wrongs we've suffered, as if we are the cause of abuse and our abuser is a victim of our "weakness" – women have long been supsect for every wrong men do to us. And, abused children are told, "See what you made me do to you."

It's time and past time to end that dichotomy and to curb speech that harms – free speech protections were never intended to protect lies and hate.
