Where Home is Found

A poem for Valentine’s 2023, for my husband of 31+ years.

You bring forth soul song
inspire poetry from my soul
Our love speaks heart to heart
in tender, whispered kisses
These old bones revel in each other
We revel our love’s embrace

All my true joys found in your ebony eyes
devotion unparalleled down the years
Together, we bask in comfortable silences
As sun sets just outside my own backdoor
every never mundane backyard sunset
is a magical revery where home is found
