Would she, though? White people get a pass for things Black people would never be allowed to do. As long as it wasn't a kid or powerful white man – like Winestein or Spacey, for example, it's more likely circumstances would be given to excuse her lapse in judgment. She might "step away" for rehab or something, but she'd be right back in the mix with scarcely a blip in her timeline. And, everyone would end up feeling sorry for her.

Think about all the IRL examples where that is simply untrue:

White people stormed the Capital and assaulted police, yet were allowed to walk away and go home. If that had been black and brown people you know they'd have felt the full force of violent dispersal.

Consider the harsh suppression of the Black Power Movement.

Or the Kettling protestors in the Bronx.

Or the case after case of police mishandling of Black Lives Matters peaceful protests (more than 90% have been peaceful). Black and brown folks could not even gather for a peaceful protest in front of a liberal church without the then POTUS turning military helicopters on them so he could march up to the steps of that – again – liberal church and hold a Bible upside down for the cameras.

White celebrities get away with all manner of bad behavior which Black celebrities rarely come through unscathed. Take Will Smith, for example. A one time aberation in a lifetime of being a great guy, and now he's villified, forced out of the Academy, dropped from projects. His entire history of being one of the nicest guys in Hollywood is now moot – he's suddenly just another violent Black "thug" to be punished and pushed aside. Meanwhile, white celebrities emerge virtually unscathed, again and again – like Paris Hilton, Winona Ryder, Justin Bieber, Robert Downey Jr, Matthew McConaughey, Kaitlin Jenner (when she was Bruce), Mark Wahlberg, Woody Allen, and more.
