Wow. That is disheartening, to say the least. It's a real failure of mission.

This part is what really gets me, though. Ritter says that “the school has reached out to churches that openly support the LGBTQ community in Kansas City, but none offered financial help.” Why? I can only speculate, but there is no neutral ground here.
