Yeah, and they'd have been on layaway since the after Christmas sales. Mother got them out in time for the new school year. It was always clothes bought way too big so they'd get you through the next school year. In our case, it was in Florida, so at least they weren't out of season. There's only two seasons… hot and moist or Hell's sauna (and you can't dress for Hell's sauna).
