Yeah… every time I see a plot of land stripped of forest for a new subdivision, it breaks my heart. Meanwhile, how many houses sit abandoned, falling into to decay that could still be homes without destroying so much mature nature? Of the five or six subdivision under construction between my home and Raleigh, I know there are enough existing houses sitting empty to replace at least one of those subdivisions.
