Yeah… It would be nice if the usual use of tags and mentions was apperciation. That's not been my experience with it most of the time. In fact, it kind a bugs me. More specifically, it bugs me when someone does it who rarely – or more commonly NEVER – claps or responds on my posts. To me, this is little different from those who drop their links – expecting you to read them with aprobation – in the comments sections of all your Facebook posts, but with no effort nor intention to reciprocate.

I hark back to that old euphimism for anger, "That chaps my hide!"
