You are lying to yourself. You care enough to proselytize me every time I write about my faith. You engage in the kind of direct proselytization you claim to abhor. By all means, write about you beliefs. But, stop proselytizing them at me. I don't go to your posts and do that.

Not once – not ever – on all your posts I've read (and I've read virtually all of them) have I ever pushed my beliefs. I am not and never have been proselytizing you. That's your forte.

And, you did it again – gaslighting. You said were weren't doing it, then you called me a "lost cause" – that says in your eyes that I am NOT "an intelligent person" because I don't tell you I now believe as you do.

Also, I predicated my entire post with a statement explaining my perspective came from my study in this area: "This essay is my understanding of scholarship I have sought out, and of my own study of the scriptures." I have read the text more than once. I just read it with an open mind and an open heart.

And, at no point, in no way, did I ever cast aspersions upon your intellect. I did not try to tell you how you should believe. I did not condemn you for your beliefs. You did so to me – that, Stuart, is proselytizing at its finest.
