You do realize this passage is about FORCED abortion and sterilization, right? And, that it could be imposed upon a woman on the mere say so of the husband. No witnesses were needed. No proof of any kind. Just suspicion of, or a will to cause harm to the woman. This is not proof of adultery. It's only proof of pregnancy and a cruel male response from a theocratic patriarchy against women denied any human rights, even the right of being a fully actualized person with bodily autonomy.
